Yahoo Pipes is a free tool provided by Yahoo! that enables you to "mashup" technologies.

There are a lot of things you can do with Pipes. Most involve manipulations of RSS feeds - text, images, video. The intention is to be able to create a new RSS feed from one or more other RSS feeds.

For example, you can mix a Flickr feed with a text feed. Or you can filter one or more feeds to focus on one or more tags. The latter use is extremely valuable to easily listen to - or distribute - news.

Journalism.co.uk provides a tutorial for creating a Yahoo Pipe. It is a useful skill to use to manage your time and think up innovative ways to publish your existing content.
