Try Jott for Blog Posts and Blog Promotion
How can Jott be used for blog posts and promotion? Read on for the scoop…When Jott was initially released, it functioned as sort of a virtual sticky note. You could send yourself, and others, email communications by calling your Jott account an dictating an email. You could also set a reminder to pop up in Outlook…which I found really helpful for times when I was out and about and suddenly remembered something I should have done before I left the house.
But Jott has grown into something much more than that…and though I still have concerns about the translation of my words into written form, there are so many cool things you can do with it that it bears a second look.

Here’s the home screen for my a sample account. You can see the center contains the latest Jotts and dates. You can easily mark them completed, set an alarm, or delete them.
Over to the right, you will see an area that contains your contacts, feeds and links. On the left, there is a To-Do list and ways to categorize your notes.
One of the features that I think is most helpful in blogging is the links feature. By setting up your blog, you can Jott posts while on the fly. This is particularly helpful if you are covering an event or a breaking story.
You can also establish links to other profiles, like Twitter and Facebook, keeping your readers engaged in real time.
A great way to use Jott is to combine these two features by creating a timely post, then sending out notices to your social media networks. Short of having your laptop with you, you simply can’t achieve this kind of engagement this quickly.
Something that I haven’t heard mentioned, but one of my favorite features is the Jott Feeds section. In it, you can select from a number of feeds that Jott follows. When you call in and select the feed, Jott reads the latest post to you.
Here you can see I have some news and weather feeds, as well as Lifehacker, Mashable, TechCrunch and the ubiquitous Scobelizer.
While this feature is limited in the feeds it covers, it does give me an opportunity to tune in to content that I value. I suspect that this part of the service will expand.
In fact, I would suggest that you consider having an audio file of your blog’s posts. There are affordable services that will create it for you and you can create an RSS feed for that as well. Having your content available in multiple platforms gives your readers options…which will increase the likelihood that your content will be heard.
What’s nice about Jott is that you don’t have to spend extra time trying to type in an update on a traditional phone keyboard. Even if you have a full keyboard, they are tiny keys. If you want to say anything of length, Jott is a great facilitator. It gives you a great opportunity to send reminders, create quick posts and catch up on your feeds. Though it has some voice recognition issues, you can spell out difficult words for a better results.
