Adding a business blog to your site can be an effective way to improve your search engine visibility, but simply having a blog - even a very active one - isn’t enough. Here are a few business blogging strategies to consider.
Business blogging is a planned activity. Personal blogs may leave you with the impression [...]

The blog of Ralston Ventures has 5 interesting arguments that companies put forward NOT to have RSS feeds on their websites. It includes arguments for RSS feeds. Very interesting reading.
1. Someone else will use my content
There are techniques to stop feed scrapers.
2. Nobody will click-thru to my website.
It’s more important for people to read your [...]

Now available — Forrester podcasts! These free podcasts focus specifically on interactive marketing and feature and feature a series of interviews with analysts and industry leaders who spoke
at our Consumer Forum in October. Note that we are currently testing this new medium and we’re trying to figure out what works, what doesn’t. So we’d [...]

Thanks to my colleague Peter Kim, I’ve been tagged so I have to respond with this post. What’s going on? There’s this viral thing going on called "Blog-Tag" where the blogger writes five things about themselves not widely known, and then "tags" five other people to continue the chain. This online tagging game was recently [...]

Happy New Year! Although just barely two weeks into it, it already feels….well, not quite old but more like "broken in".
Before you read too much further, don’t think that "new adventures"
means that I’m leaving either Forrester or this blog. I’m thoroughly
enjoying both but I’m going to be up to something new this year as well.
I’m [...]

Back in October, I posted our initial research
on the ROI
of blogging. Many of you contributed your ideas, thoughts, and criticisms –
thanks so much as it was extremely helpful.
We’ve (finally) published the report – and
actually, there are two of them. The first is “The ROI Of Blogging: The “Why”
And “How” Of External Blog Accountability”. It’s [...]

<Shameless plug> I’ll be at two Forrester events later
this month that you (or your colleagues) maybe interested in attending.
Social
Computing Boot Camp: Tapping Into The Power Of Empowered Consumers. This
is a small format (between 20-40 people) where participants learn how to
implement social technologies like blogs, RSS, social networking, and
podcasting within the marketing organization. This day-long [...]

I’m in Chicago at Forrester’s Consumer Forum this week, where the theme is "Humanizing The Human Experience". We have an event blog up and running, featuring two bloggers — Marianne Richmond and Christopher Carfi — as well as two Forrester researchers, Sarah Rotman Epps and Chloe Stromberg. For those of you attending the Forum, it’s [...]

If you’ve attempted to login to Feedburner lately you’ve noticed how broken it is. Earlier, when trying to view the feed details from the PodcastRoundtable, a podcast to which I am a contributor, I had to login at least 10 or so times to view 4 pages.
I am guessing this is an error with Feedburner, [...]
