Stormhoek and blogging
Stormhoek has had a big and very public year in the blogosphere (the blogging world) and in the public eye. Not only have bloggers taken notice of this South African Wine company, but so have customers.
Hugh Macloed, of gapingvoid, has been instrumental in creating this success - in educating Stormhoek on blogging, assisting their creative, and in promoting the successes of Stormhoek on his blog.
A couple of days ago, Hugh posted a year-in-review for Stormhoek and announced that sales have doubled over the course of the year.
Stormhoekâs approach to blogging and marketing have been innovative and creative and, in many cases, viral. They have fully integrated their blog into their website - on the front page - and use the relationships they create to promote the campaigns they do run. When they gave coupons out, much of the news travelled by email and on blogs. Congrats to Stormhoek for a successful blog strategy!
