I found this little nugget by chance. If you, like me, are an RSS feed reader addict, then you probably need this service.

RSSprompt.com lets you create a RSS feed that sends you timely reminders of appointments or if you like, just a message that says “Go outside now!”. And you’ll get the reminder as a new feed item in your feed reader.

You can tell the feed what time you want to send the reminder and even set regular reminders that occur at the same time every day, every week or at a specific time in the future.
