How about “Blog Marketing” for 600, Alex.

Titles are my favorite part of effective blog marketing. The right titles get Digg-ed (or would it be Dugg?) like crazy and spawn a volume of links back to that article. Average titles, or worse - lame titles - leave your blog languishing in obscurity as one of the thousands of forgotten websites that visitors hit this week. Like all good media, good blogs are a combination of art and science. The science of blog marketing is a combination of things like format/implementation, frequency, networking, keyword and tag optimization, targeting, and content.

Of course, not everyone is a good scientist. It takes discipline, research, experimentation and consistency.

Then there is the artistry of effective blogging and blog marketing. As my grandfather would say, “this is where they separate the wheat from the chaff” - (this is an old farm reference that will make sense to people in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.) The art is in the delivery of the message. Anyone can start a blog and write daily. But the art is in the titles, the voice, the “branding” of the blog. There are blogs, good blogs, and then there is Perezhilton.com. I’m not saying I regularly read his blog, and when I visit the site it’s not because I agree with the content or the delivery. I visit Perezhilton’s blog because he’s a great study in how the combination of art and science of effective blog marketing can lead to a VERY successful blog (and the creation of a brand.)

I’ll give a $25 gift card to the person who can guess what blog marketing concept is the “Daily Double.”

I think blogging titles are VERY important parts of the blogging animal.
This is what makes you want to click on the link and read and blog about the subject.

Perez Hilton has a knack for doing this…his titles are always eye-catching and that’s why I love to read his stuff!
