Expanding twitter with video

There is a new service currently in beta that lets you update twitter with videos. Twiddeo was originally a proof of concept created by vSocial but they received such great positive feedback that they tweaked it and are releasing it as it’s own service. Twiddeo combines Twitter along with vSocials own video player and Disqus commenting system.

You simply login to twiddeo with the same login and password that you use on twitter (finally a site that doesn’t require it’s own login and password). You can then choose a video file off your computer, use your webcam to record a new video or email a video in from your mobile phone to a unique @twiddeo.com address. After you select the video from any of these methods you can include a twitter message. The URL to your twiddeo will be added to your tweet. Tweets that exceed 113 characters get cropped to fit the twiddeo url.

One neat feature is the ability to use a Greasemonkey script that will allow you to view the videos right on a users twitter page. With the Greasemonkey script installed the twitter page will look like:
