You may or may not be aware that Microsoft is coming out with a new windows version called "longhorn". Exactly when this new version is going to be released is not exact. Possibly in 2007?

The news here about RSS is that longhorn is going to have RSS integrated into the operating system. To what level the  RSS will be "baked in" is somewhat unclear at this  point.  But you should be aware that RSS will very much become the mechanism that  shares "content payloads" of information from application to application; as well as from user to user on a network.

We will discuss this in more detail in the future but you have been alerted that RSS is going to be very much a part of the corporate mainstream and not just something for the techies.
