Microsoft's new blogging technology will make it easier to write blogsOne of the features of Microsoft’s new blogging technology software is WYSIWYG, which allows bloggers to more easily handle layout on blogs. Additionally, the blogging software, called Windows Live Writer, comes with a kit to help blog developers to extend the application, connecting with services such as tagging and photo sites. Outside blogging services are also supported, including WordPress, Blogger, TypePad and LiveJournal. Third party APIs, such as those from MetaWeblog and Moveable Type are also supported. While most people can build blogs now, Microsoft’s blogging technology offers specific blogging tools and features, reports Stacy Cowley of CRN:

[S]pecialized applications like Writer can offer time-saving shortcuts and aesthetically pleasing features. Early reviews of the application praise its easy setup and smooth interface but warn of deployment glitches typical of beta software.
