RSS and Photo Frames

PhotoVu, the leading company providing wireless digital picture frames, announced today that it will be compatible with the latest software from Picasa. But that’s not all: PhotoVu’s wireless frame will be compatible with RSS technology so that it is possible to directly download photos from Picasa Web Albums.

According to PR Newswire, PhotoVu feels that Picasa offers a good way to manage photos. An RSS technology angle allows easier access to tens of thousands of photos from photo sites that are RSS enabled:

"For a typical PhotoVu customer who has tens of thousands of photos,
they need a photo management solution that is fast and efficient, and
we’ve found that Picasa is ‘best in class’ when it comes to the speed
of accessing and organizing large volumes of photos," said Mark Van
Buskirk, Partner, PhotoVu…

All PhotoVu digital picture frames require no additional image
manipulation or software installation. Consumer and business users can
display tens of thousands of digital photos or other digital signage
content stored on any Windows(R) or Macintosh(R) computer, or RSS
enabled photo sharing website."
