Developing Your Corporate Blogging Voice
Deciding if you want to hear back from your readers really depends upon the purpose of your blog. Do you want your blog to be a place your employees come to when they have a problem with a work issue? No, I don’t mean a grievance, but an actual dilemma that requires teamwork to solve. Of course, in this case, blog interaction is key.
Or, do you want your blog to be a place your employees can come to when they want to read the musings of the CEO? Having constant chatter on this blog may not be something you’d want to encourage.
Your blog purpose really determines most of your blog decisions. You’ll have to determine on your own how to handle the blog interaction question, and you may even decide to allow it but not actively encourage it.
Whatever you decide, know that you are providing a valuable service to your employees if you offer then a business blog, AND you’reincreasing productivity and goodwill at the same time.
