The large majority of podcasters will never make money podcasting.  However, because of the large amounts of money some podcasters are getting, a growing number of podcasters are getting into podcasting for the money.

If you’re looking for money, you might consider vidcasting.  Research suggests that vidcasts will receive 70% of the podcasting vs. vidcasting advertising.  With so few vidcasters, by growing your audience here you’ll stand to make some money in advertising.

However, if you are business who’s looking at vidcasting, be aware that most people still do not have the capability to watch vidcasts and you can not download mp4s (videos) onto an audio only player.  If you choose to market using vidcasts, be sure to include an audio file as well.
