Share Your OPML
OPML allows other users to take your blog subscriptions and easily add them to their blog reader. OPML allows for any number of lists to be easily transferred, but most of the time when you are referring to OPML on blogs, you’re discussing blog subscription transferring.
Share Your OPML is a site that’s gaining rapid popularity. Monday and Tuesday saw a rash of sites linking to the site, so much so that the excessive traffic caused a site crash. Dave Winer, one of the acknowledged founders of both RSS and OPML and the man behind Share Your OPML had this to say:
that’s webadmin-speak for I dropped the ball. Under other
circumstances, that oversight probably never would have come to light.
Unfortunately, that database query was the guts to one of the pages
users most wanted to link to on their blogs. And when the search bots
started crawling those links, we got crushed.
Share your OPML file to help us all find the great feeds that are out there. Take a look at my feeds, at least my public ones.
