Why aren’t you blogging?
If you’re a respected CEO, Executive or other ‘higher-up’ you may think you don’t have time to blog. Here’s a common comment on blogging avoidance:
There
are currently 364 unanswered emails in my inbox. I have 14 phone calls
to return. Six meetings a day. I’m currently sitting on the redeye
flying back from SFO to PHL. I have a wife. Two kids. If I had an
extra hour a day, I’d rather spend it sleeping.
But, by opening up the window into your world, you’re communicating with a wider audience, that just may lessen your email communication dependance.
If your entire staff subscribes to your blog, is it really necessary to create Memos and Reminder emails ad nauseam? Just write a pithy post on the topic and it’s taken care of. And, you can blog on a blogsite from your cellphone, as long as it has email capabilities.
Choose an internal blog for private communications and an external blog for PR. It just may save you time and money.
