PR Blogger Hired By Edelman
Steve Rubel joined one of the largest PR firms, Edelman, and left the private PR firm, CooperKatz earlier this week.
Edelman has been hiring other well-known bloggers to help their clients secure a place in the blogosphere.
In September, the firm brought RedState.org blogger Mike Krempasky onboard to handle the Wal-Mart account. Krempasky founded the Web site Rathergate.com, which focused on Dan Rather’s reporting on allegedly forged documents detailing President Bush’s national guard service, and the subsequent scandal–and lobbied against possible Federal Election Commission regulations that would apply campaign finance rules to the blogosphere.
PR firms have struggled with how to effectively tap into the blogosphere.
