How Confident Are You in Your SEO Efforts?

Look at this chart on Pontiac. It’s a graph from hitwise on the search term Pontaic’s use over the last month.
The corresponding surge in traffic is due to their brave advertising campaign:
Pontiac’s spot represents a new form of Internet call-to-action. Rather than driving users to a generic website, or a website created specifically for a promotion, Pontiac’s bold new move results in placing control of the end-message in the hands of a search engine algorithm along with sponsored ad listings.

The upside is that almost 70% of the traffic, because of good SEO, went to Pontiac’s own site. The other 30% went to a variety of sites. However, note the second one in the list. It’s a Mazda site advertising a test drive.
