Reminders By RSS
ReminderFeed is a new service that lets you create simple "reminder" notifications that can be subscribed to by RSS. You might be saying, "I have an alarm and callender on my phone/ I can automatically send myself an email like this/I have a memory like none you’ve ever seen!"
The advantages to such a service, however, further demonstrate the importance of RSS as a medium. Reminders delivered by RSS enable you to:
- Tell your employees to subscribe to the reminder feed. This is a lot easier than one email list administrator having to add every email that needs to be added to the list.
- Use your password to change the reminders as they evolve, both in content and duration.
- Differentiate your reminders from emails that get lost in bulk folders and cluttered inboxes using unique channels for reminder feeds.
This is just one more example of the superior functionality of RSS over email for internal communication. RSS feeds are both more malleable and more automated.
